When I moved back to Vancouver I decided that my fresh start should include new furniture. I spent a LOT of time looking around different stores. Most of the places I went I found the staff were pushy (which is not my style) and followed me around the store but when I went into Scan Design the sales staff were fabulous. Not pushy at all, they didn't stalk me while I was looking around, but yet they were easy to find when I did need some help.
I'm so happy with the furniture that I ended up purchasing. But what I especially love is how patient the staff were with me (I must have made 4 trips back and forth between the store and my townhouse, measuring furniture to make sure it would fit my place). Even better was the fact that the furniture was delivered by probably the most polite delivery-crew I've encountered in my life (and I've moved a lot of times). My delivery was scheduled to be between 10 AM - and Noon, and they were actually there at 9:45.
The day before my furniture was to be delivered, I got a phone call to say that my dining room chairs weren't going to be included but before I could freak out and say "where are my guests going to sit for Christmas dinner" he said "we have 8 replacement chairs for you, I'm sorry that they aren't the colour you ordered. You can keep these chairs until yours arrive. When your chairs come in we'll pick up the loaners and drop off the ones you ordered." I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was so pleasantly surprised to discover that the loaner chairs were the same style that I ordered, they were just the wrong colour. And, they weren't old or used chairs, they were actually new chairs. I didn't have to pay for the loaners or the extra delivery fee. I'm still impressed by the service I received.
If I ever move into a bigger house and need more furniture, I'll definitely be back to Scan Designs.

Excellent experience all around. This order was done entirely over the phone (a shout out to Carla K at Richmond La Z Boy for her very professional and friendly help with the ordering and delivery). I had previously ordered a Lancer recliner over 20 years ago from this store, and it had lasted all this time, but was starting to show its age. I ordered a new Lancer, and am absolutely happy with the mew chair. While maybe pricier than bargain basement chairs, the quality and comfort can't be beat.

I had an amazing experience with this company. When I told their service department that I found scratches on my nightstands, they were quick to do follow up procedures and keeping me in the loop as to how they will fix my problem. I now have 2 nightstands that look as good as new and very satisfied.
Not sure what the other review was going about... I actually wanted my delivery in the evening, but as far as I was informed, they finish deliveries all before 4pm.
